Edsbyn Ek is a high-quality picture frame made with genuine oak veneer. The frame is 13 mm wide and 11.5 mm deep. We're sometimes asked why this picture frame, if it's a genuinely high-quality frame, is made with oak veneer and not solid oak. The reason for this is that using genuine oak makes it hard to control the surface. In some instances, this gives exactly the look you want. With a picture frame, however, the risk is that parts of the frame just look discoloured. But by using a thin layer of genuine oak veneer, you can get a perfect oak colour. The word "veneer" sometimes has negative connotations, but a nice veneer like this one only makes the product better. It gives genuine and authentic results.
