Do you have a picture in 80x120 cm that needs to be framed? Or would you like to acquire such a picture frame, but you just don't have a specific subject? We will start with the first scenario. A large painting attracts more attention than a smaller painting so it is extra important that space, framing and subject harmonise with each other. This balance is actually easy to achieve. In the first place, the image should match the photo frame. For a seamless and attractive look, for example, you can pick a key colour from the image, and mirror that in the picture frame. A black and white image is easiest to match, as you only need to pick one of the two tones for a complementary effect.
On the other hand, the finished painting must match the rest of the interior and first and foremost - the wall. A patterned or dark, "heavy" wall immediately gets a lift when you decorate it with a light painting that gives an airy impression. By comparison, white or pale wall is given a boost by a large attractive painting.
This brings us to scenario number two: You want to decorate your wall with a large picture frame, but are unsure of which image to choose. If you have a significant photo in digital format it is often possible to enlarge so that it fits our 80x120 cm picture frame. Contact us and we will tell you more! Another option is to make a collage of several images against a nice background. If you want to make it really easy, you can simply use lovely fabric or wallpaper as the subject. Just "fold in" the back piece of the picture frame with the fabric or paper and attach it to the back with glue or tape. The result can be compared to a feature wall, with the difference being that the work is, of course, smaller and much easier to replace than a wallpaper.
