Sometimes we get asked why the frame is made using oak veneer instead of solid oak especially when it’s a frame of such high quality. The reason for this is the structure of the oak itself. It can be difficult to control the finish when using real oak as it contains colour changes throughout the wood. This can be great in some contexts but on a frame it can appear as though some of the wood has become discoloured.

By using a real oak veneer that consists of a fine layer of real oak, you can get the perfect oak colour around the whole frame. Veneer may sound less appealing but a good quality like this only has advantages and produces an effective and genuine result.
