Sometimes we are asked why the frame is made of oak veneer and not solid oak if it is to be a quality frame. The reason for this is that it's difficult to achieve a controlled surface with real Oak as it often results in colour variations in different parts of the wood, which in some contexts is suitable. But on a frame, it just risks looking like parts of the frame are discoloured.
By using a real oak veneer, which consists of a thin layer of real Oak, you get the perfect oak colour you're after. Veneer can sometimes have a bad reputation, but a fine veneer like this only has advantages and provides an authentic and genuine result.
