Sometimes we are asked why the frame is made of oak veneer and not genuine solid oak if they are to be a quality frame. The reason for this is that it's difficult to achieve a controlled surface when dealing with genuine Oak as there are often colour shifts in different parts of the wood which in some contexts fits well. But on a frame, it just risks looking like parts of the frame are discoloured.
By using a genuine oak veneer consisting of a thin layer of real Oak, you get the perfect oak colour that you're after. Veneer can sometimes have a bad reputation, but a fine veneer like this only has advantages and gives an authentic and genuine result.
