Fitted sheets are a popular alternative to a flat sheet in many homes. It’s a practical shaped sheet that holds itself in position all night long. A fitted sheet is sewn at the corners into a mattress shape and has elastic that pulls the sheet down and around the mattress keeping it in position. A shaped sheet is a great alternative for people who have a tendency to toss and turn in their sleep as it prevents the sheet from coming loose and wrapping around your legs. Envelope sheets
Envelope sheets are another form of shaped sheet which is sometimes confused with a conventional fitted sheet. Just like a fitted sheet, an envelope sheet is shaped at the corners to tuck around the mattress but, unlike a standard fitted sheet, an envelope sheet isn’t elasticated. Envelope sheets hold themselves in position incredibly well as they fit tightly around the mattress. They are a little more difficult to put on and take off the bed but, if you want a sheet that stays where it’s supposed to, an envelope sheet is the right choice for you.
